Karma is one blooming actor in Nepali Cinema since 2007. His presence in some of the movies has created a remarkable magic. Started as a theatre actor he is very progressive from his early days. Karma who's been very selective with the genres and roles of his acting moves have lots of plays performed at Gurukul, Hotel Vajra, Actor's Studio etc. including major hits like "Tara Baji Lai Lai", "Maya Devi ko Sapana", "Master Builder", "Metamorphoses", waiting for Godot in various stages in national and international level.
Debuted himself in the silver screen, Karma had his first break in a very advanced film making technical aspects in Nepal, started from the reknowned film making company at "Sano Sansar" opposite Namrata Shrestha directed by Mr. Alok Nembang in the year 2007. Alok Nembang who is a prominent director in Nepali film fraternity is one fine director so far the Nepali cinema industry has. His major achievements have started early from the Image Channel establishments and music videos direction. Besides, Alok is mastered in film direction courses in a well known institute from United States.
With lots of other movies on his credits Karma as an actor is recently seen in Ek Din Ek Raat, First Love, Pattachara, Loot, Mrigatrishna,Highway,Visa Girl, Adhyaya Resham Filili etc. And his up coming movies are Goodbye Kathmandu, And most anticipated Love Sashai. Set among the breathtaking landscapes of Eastern Nepal, "HIGHWAY", the first full-length feature of director/ producer Deepak Rauniyar, follows the journey of nine characters whose individual stories become accidentally interconnected during an ill-fated bus journey they take to the capital Kathmandu. The passengers - each of whom urgently needs to be somewhere else – find themselves stranded on the only main road due to an improvised and unlawful blockade known as a " bandh". While the journey is thwarted numerous times awaiting a resolution to the combustible strike, the film's story shifts into the characters’ psychological and spiritual "bandhs " that many Nepalis are contending with since the end of the bloody 12-year civil conflict. Goodbye Kathmandu is based in the changing Kathmandu, a city that is metropolitan but has often been termed overgrown town. This feature-length film explores the lives of three young men who are caught in the political upheavals and throes of globalization in Kathmandu.
Kathmandu is a city that is post-modern in its longings – filled with internal migrant and refugees, street children and unemployed youth; it is also the place where high-rise hotels are filled with rich tourists and where wealthy businessman and expatriates ride by in expensive four-wheeled drives.
Amar Sharma, a returnee from America who is determined to do well financially with his new business he aims to start in the new economic climate.
Mangal Bajracharya, caught in-between his traditional role as a young Newari sculpture and his desires to be a modern Nepali man who plays music and hangs out with friends interested in rock music & girls, finds himself struggling to define his identity as his life changes inexorably around him.
Robin Gurung, a son of a British Gurkha, faces consistent pressure to join the Gurkhas. He longs to fall in love, and ends up breaking hearts and having his own heart broken in the process.
All three characters share the same city – Kathmandu. That, along with their longings for something outside of themselves – material success, identity and love – is the only thing that binds them together as they move in and out through the same historical time & space.
